Ve funkci Operations Managera jste déle než měsíc. Jak se za ním zatím ohlížíte?
Každá nová pozice přináší určité adaptační období, zejména v klubu, který má svou vlastní dynamiku a specifickou strukturu. Působení v profesionálním fotbalovém prostředí pro mě není novinkou, ale každý klub vyžaduje detailní pochopení svého vnitřního fungování. Moje role zahrnuje celkové vedení struktury a všech sektorů klubu. To znamená koordinaci sportovního úseku, administrativy, logistiky i organizačních procesů tak, aby všechny části systému fungovaly efektivně a ve vzájemném souladu. Důraz kladu na stabilitu, jasně definované odpovědnosti a jednotný směr rozvoje. Nejdůležitější je, aby klub fungoval jako organizovaný, profesionální a jednotný celek. Tým zaměstnanců se zároveň postupně rozšiřuje o zkušenější odborníky na klíčových a potřebných pozicích, protože klub pokračuje ve svém budování a dalším rozvoji.

Klub během zimního přestupového období přivedl sedm nových posil, které po všech náležitostech budou brzy oznámeny. Co to vypovídá o směru, kterým se Dynamo ubírá?
Během přestupového období, které probíhalo od 15. ledna do 12. února, jsme pracovali strategicky a s jasným plánem. Přivedli jsme sedm nových hráčů, mimo jiné i fotbalisty ze prostředí klubů jako Strasbourg, Reims či Plzeň. Tyto posily byly cíleně přivedeny na klíčové pozice, kde jsme potřebovali zvýšit konkurenci a kvalitu. Na celém procesu se podíleli všichni – sportovní ředitel, já i další členové vedení klubu. Současně se objevily spekulace o finančních problémech a údajném „výprodeji“. Realita je však jiná. Klub postupoval plánovaně a odpovědně a příchod několika nových hráčů jasně ukazuje, že nešlo o žádný výprodej, ale o systematické posílení týmu.

Jak nahlížíte na odchody Nicolase Gorosita, Mamadoua Koneho a Colina Andrewa?
Brnu jsme jasně sdělili, že si Colina nepřejeme prodávat. Chápeme, že Brno má ambici hrát nejvyšší soutěž a že Colinovým jasným přáním bylo stát se součástí tohoto projektu už teď. S ohledem na jeho rozhodnutí a okolnosti byl transfer realizován. Byl to jediný hráč, kterého jsme v tomto období prodali. Mamadou Kone sám projevil přání změnit prostředí a požádal o odchod. Klub tuto situaci zohlednil a jeho přestup proběhl bez finanční kompenzace. Co se týče Gorosita, jeho smlouva měla skončit v létě. Ovšem obdržel nabídku ze Slovenska, kde má rodinu, a požádal o možnost přiblížit se k ní už teď, s ohledem na svůj věk i skutečnost, že jeho kontrakt by na konci sezony stejně vypršel. Klub si tuto situaci vyhodnotil a umožnil mu odchod bez finanční kompenzace. Toto rozhodnutí bylo zároveň v souladu se strategií klubu dávat více prostoru vlastním odchovancům z akademie. Vytvořil se tak větší prostor pro obránce Brabce, který v klubu prodloužil smlouvu, a pro Rajtmajera, jenž podepsal svou první profesionální smlouvu s Dynamem. David Krch obdržel konkrétní nabídku, ale klub ji odmítl.

Jaký je aktuální vztah mezi A-týmem a akademií?
V posledních pěti letech nebyla spolupráce mezi prvním týmem a akademií na uspokojivé úrovni. Dnes je toto propojení výrazně silnější a konkrétní výsledky jsou již viditelné. Odráží se to v podpisu profesionálních smluv Rajtmajera a Štindla, stejně jako v prodloužení spolupráce s Brabcem. Krch je rovněž příkladem této cesty, navíc sehrál významnou roli v prvním týmu během podzimní části sezony. Aktivně sledujeme hráče akademie i ty, kteří procházejí B-týmem. Mladí hráči dostávají příležitost v přípravných utkáních a postupně se integrují do prostředí A-týmu. Akademie není jen budoucnost, ale je součástí současné struktury. Rozvoj musí jít ruku v ruce s konkurenceschopností a výsledky.

Jak hodnotíte přípravná utkání, která jste sledoval?
Přípravné období je součástí procesu, ve kterém se hráči připravují na druhou část sezony. I když výsledky nejsou v této fázi jediným měřítkem, přípravná utkání dávají prostor hráčům z akademie a B-týmu, případně i hráčům na testech. V tomto období jsou hráči zkoušeni na různých postech.

Hráči, kteří měli problémy s vízem, by se měli vrátit do České republiky. Kdy se znovu připojí k týmu?
Jedná se o Chukwudiho Igbokweho, Jude Sundaye a Simona Omona. Jde o administrativní proces jasně definovaný pravidly pobytu. Hráči mohou znovu vstoupit do země po uplynutí 90 dnů od okamžiku, kdy Českou republiku opustili, což bylo na konci podzimní části sezony. Klub postupuje v souladu s platnými předpisy a je v neustálé komunikaci s příslušnými institucemi. Očekává se, že se hráči připojí k týmu ihned po splnění všech formálních náležitostí. Bude to brzy.

S jakými cíli tým vstoupí do jarní části?
Klub zůstává zaměřen na budování stability a dosažení výsledků. Začátek sezony je mimořádně důležitý. Výsledky jsou vždy podstatné, ale musí být podloženy strukturou, rovnováhou a vnitřní jednotou. Chceme být konkurenceschopní v každém zápase a směřovat k dlouhodobému cíli – návratu do vyšší soutěže. Ambice je jasná, ale musí být podpořena odpovědným řízením, systematickým rozvojem a strategickým posilováním kádru.

You have been in the role of Operations Manager for more than a month. How do you look back on this period so far?
Every new position comes with a certain adaptation period, especially in a club that has its own dynamics and specific structure. Working in a professional football environment is not new to me, but every club requires a detailed understanding of its internal workings. My role involves overall management of the club’s structure and all its sectors. This means coordinating the sporting department, administration, logistics, and organizational processes so that all parts of the system function efficiently and in harmony. I focus on stability, clearly defined responsibilities, and a unified direction of development. The most important thing is for the club to operate as an organized, professional, and cohesive unit. At the same time, the staff team is gradually being expanded with more experienced specialists in key and necessary positions, as the club continues its building and further development.

During the winter transfer period the club brought in several new signings, which will soon be announced after all formalities. What does this indicate about the direction Dynamo is heading?
During the transfer period which lasted from January 15 to February 12 we worked strategically and with a clear plan. We brought in new players, including footballers from clubs that have some reputation internationally. These signings were targeted for key positions where we needed to increase competition and quality. Everyone was involved in the process – the sporting director, myself, and other members of the club management. At the same time, there were speculations about financial problems and an alleged “fire sale.” The reality is different. The club acted in a planned and responsible way, and the arrival of several new players clearly shows that this was not a fire sale but a systematic strengthening of the team.

How do you view the departures of Nicolas Gorosito, Mamadou Kone, and Colin Andrew?
We clearly informed Brno that we did not wish to sell Colin. We understand that Brno has the ambition to play in the top league and that it was Colin’s clear desire to be part of this project already. Considering his decision and the circumstances, the transfer was carried out. He was the only player sold during this period. Mamadou Kone himself expressed a desire for a change of environment and requested a transfer. The club respected this situation, and his move was completed without financial compensation. Regarding Gorosito, his contract was set to expire in the summer. However, he received an offer from Slovakia, where his family lives, and requested to move closer to them now, considering his age and the fact that his contract would have expired at the end of the season anyway. The club evaluated this situation and allowed his departure without financial compensation. This decision was also in line with the club’s strategy to give more opportunities to homegrown talents from the academy. This created more space for defender Brabec, who extended his contract with the club, and for Rajtmajer, who signed his first professional contract with Dynamo. David Krch received a concrete offer, but the club declined it.

What is the current relationship between the first team and the academy?
Over the past five years, cooperation between the first team and the academy has not been at a satisfactory level. Today, this connection is significantly stronger, and tangible results are already visible. This is reflected in the signing of professional contracts by Rajtmajer and Štindl, as well as in the extension of Brabec’s cooperation. Krch is also an example of this path and played an important role in the first team during the autumn part of the season. We actively monitor academy players and those going through the B-team. Young players are given opportunities in friendly matches and are gradually integrated into the first-team environment. The academy is not just the future but part of the current structure. Development must go hand in hand with competitiveness and results.

How do you evaluate the friendly matches you observed?
The preparation period is part of the process in which players get ready for the second part of the season. Although results are not the sole measure at this stage, friendly matches give opportunities to academy players, B-team players, or trialists. During this period, players are tested in various positions.

Players who had visa issues should return to the Czech Republic. When will they rejoin the team?
This concerns Chukwudi Igbokwe, Jude Sunday, and Simon Omo. It is an administrative process clearly defined by residency rules. Players can re-enter the country after 90 days from the moment they left the Czech Republic, which was at the end of the autumn part of the season. The club acts in accordance with the applicable regulations and is in constant communication with the relevant authorities. The players are expected to join the team immediately after completing all formalities.

What are the team’s goals going into the spring part of the season?
The club remains focused on building stability and achieving results. The start of the season is extremely important. Results are always significant, but they must be supported by structure, balance, and internal unity. We want to be competitive in every match and aim for the long-term goal – returning to a higher league. The ambition is clear, but it must be supported by responsible management, systematic development, and strategic strengthening of the squad.
